Senior Cat

I am finding it difficult to believe myself by I had my birthday on Sunday and I was seven years old. That's right SEVEN. It seems no time at all since I was just a little kitten embarking on life's great adventure and here I am now, eligible for 'Senior' cat food.

I celebrating by racing and chasing around the house just to prove that I can still do it and posing prettily for my birthday photograph. We had a lovely sunny day on Sunday and the weather was very warm and mild so it gave me the chance to go out into the garden with the boys.

Max is only six weeks younger than me so it will soon be time for him to be called a Senior too but Oscar has another year to wait - I wonder if I can persuade him that he can't eat of my bowl any more? I suspect it will be something of a struggle getting him to believe that.

Speaking of reaching a great age I guess Joan must be doing the same as she has been telling everyone that she will be 'retiring' at the end of January whatever that means. We think it means that she will be at home more with us which is great if that is true. The other thing that could happen is that she gets a dog and we aren't sure that we want that to happen any time soon.

Lara having fun

As you will have gathered we have been having a fun time lately helping Joan and playing together. We are busy getting ready for Christmas now and as usual that means lots of lazy days with Joan at home for the holidays.

The good thing is that we can go out into the garden if the weather is warm enough but the mornings are very dark and we don't really care for that. I love lazy hazy days of Summer which seem a long way away at the moment.

Anyway we wish all our readers a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year and we hope that Santa Paws brings you everything you need for a lovely Christmas.

It looks like Max might have over-indulged on Christmas turkey
